Millennial COE Making A Difference
While many think the rich are getting richer and the poorer are going the polar opposite direction, there is a glimmer in the dark by the name of Dan Price who is trailblazing to change this stigma in companies.
Back in 2015 Price vowed to his employees that he would make wages livable for them as he knew that workers needed some form of security in wages with a job or the productivity would suffer in the business.
He chose to reduce his pay to less than 10% of his million-dollar salary and increase all employees to a starting wage of $70,000.
He mentioned on Fox News that the reason for doing so was because one of his friends that was a single parent spoke of how detrimental it was to make at least $70,000 to pay basic bills and buy food in the high-cost city of Seattle where Price’s business was based.
On Twitter Price products the receipts!
“6 years ago today I raised my company’s min wage to $70k. Fox News called me a socialist whose employees would be on bread lines.”
“Since then our revenue tripled, we’re a Harvard Business School case study & our employees had a 10x boom in homes bought.”
“Always invest in people.”
The message sent is obviously creating success for those CEOs that care should always be “Invest in People.”
